In the surroundings of St-Marcel-de-Careiret are very pretty authentic villages, such as Lussan, Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, Uzès and its duchy; La Roque sur Cèze and its waterfalls ... Only 10 kilometers away is also the charming village of Goudargues, also known as "the Venice of the Gard". You can rent bikes there or schedule a day in canoes on the Cèze. You can reach Avignon, the Pont du Gard, Nîmes and its arenas, La Camargue and Aigues-Mortes in an hour's drive.
